Founded in 1996 and has operations in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Romania.

Our Story
About the Founder
Dr. Prakasam founded Share in Asia in 1996. He came to the United States from India in 1984 to continue his education, having already received his Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from PSG College of Arts and Science. In 1988, Dr. Prakasam received his second Bachelor’s degree in Teaching and Counseling from Southeastern University in Florida. He continued his theological training with a Masters of Divinity from the Asia School of Theology, completed in 1994. In 2017, he received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from the Austrian School of Ministry. He currently resides in Kirkland, Washington, with his wife and two children.
Word from the President
Share in Asia currently has been involved in India, Sri Lanka and in Nepal. Our organization helps widows, orphans, lepers, school children with some form of aid each month. In addition to that we help in emergency disasters, food distribution, scholarship awards, and providing clean drinking water.
I founded Share in Asia with a vision to bring humanitarian aid and education to places where communities are suffering due to poverty and/or disasters. My goal is to reach out to those in vulnerable and desperate situations with direct support and aid. Many with the same vision have joined hands with me to take this journey to alleviate inhumane conditions. I hope you will also join me in this venture to bring hope and peace to the needy.
